Beach in the storm

Part of the expanding “Yellow Umbrella” series, this painting shows the beach at my favourite time – after a storm, when the water is calming down and the wind is blowing the clouds away…  The serenity in this painting really draws me to the girl, paddling away in the water without a seeming care in the world, watching the clouds roll away.  Such a calm and peaceful painting.
