Left in the storm

Part of the “Yellow Umbrella” series, this painting can be seen as melancholy (being left behind) or optimistic (where is the girl? Has she left the umbrella because there are things she’s left to experience?). I am most proud of this painting, from a colour and background perspective. The grey was difficult to work with but I’m beyond happy with the finished product.
